Thought I'd go ahead and share my shot of Panther Creek since Addam just introduced you all to it! =D

Definitely a strange and unexpected day, that's for sure. We set out before dawn, driving south for many hours. We saw the sun rise and illuminate Mt. Rainier, I got my first glimpse of the capitol building in Olympia, and accidentally crossed into Oregon prematurely, all on our way to the epic Falls Creek Falls.

However, when we reached the Gifford-Pinchot National Forest and ultimately the access road to Falls Creek, several feet of snow blocked our way. Thwarted and disappointed, we detoured and headed elsewhere. Addam knew there was a fall around, and we set out to find it. Tired and irritable, we were all so relieved when we finally figured out where this place was!

Accessing the base of the falls was tricky, to say the least, and initially, I wasn't going to even try it. Addam was up front with me, telling me how difficult it would probably be for me, being of short stature. ;)

Long story short (haha...right), I had a sudden rush of determination to get down and scrambled down over the cliff, slowly but surely, with much help from my hiking partner!

He was much braver than I was, inching out onto a fallen tree to get his shot. My legs and nerves were wobbly, and I didn't attempt walking on the mossy tree...so my shot is from a slightly different perspective.

Thank you, Addam, for coaxing me down here. :)

I saw this and did a double-take, because a shot JUST like this received a DD today. I will say your focus is a bit crisper and your colors a bit more vibrant. Good work!
