Falls Runby *LAlight

Falls Run empties into the Blackwater River in Blackwater Falls State Park. This is just above the bottom of the canyon, about 20-30 feet above the river. The hike down to this point was rough, as we had to fight our way through mountain laurel. That stuff can be quite unforgiving! I more than once got tangled in it.

And for those of you reading my tales of adventure from the Blackwater Canyon trip, this was the set of falls we were trying to find when we ended up at Engine Run, further downstream.
