Cathedral Falls was in the midst of thawing out after days of prolonged, subfreezing temperatures. Immediately, I saw this ice formation and wanted it in my foreground. So, I shot here for a few minutes, deciding to move left and try to get out from behind the rock outcropping. My plan, however, fell through -- as did I. The ice that you see to the right collapsed when I set up on it. :lol:

Luckily, my camera stayed safe. ;)

I need a sweater just to look at this! You capture so much in this shot. The water and rock seem to have switched identities; the rock seems to flow and curl while the water stands still. Great perspective.
