Otherworld by LAlight Otherworld by LAlight
This shot was kind of an afterthought, to be honest. I had shot the mountain and the falls with both my wide angle and telephoto lenses, then put the 50mm on for some flowers and droplets shots. As we walked away from the mountain, I turned around and saw this and had to shoot it. I'm not accustomed to shooting landscapes with my 50mm, and have only done it a handful of times. But every time, I'm surprised by the outcome.

The foggy and rainy conditions made for an otherworldly experience. Though I lost the green mosses in the conversion to black and white, I think it really enhanced the mood.

Big Four Mountain along the Ice Caves Trail.

:wow: Such amazing words, DD! Thank you!!
Was actually wondering...was it you who told me to shoot this...? I know there was a point where you told me to turn around and "get that," referring to the mountain, but I can't remember if this was that time or not! Anyway, if so, wanted to thank you for that, too. :smooch:

Greetings, as an afterthought this is a terrific photo - very inspiring, dark and raw. I create oil paintings and would like to use aspects of your photo here for reference. Would you happen to have this photo in a larger format?
