Though we rushed to the beach, or the marina, or the pier nearly every night for sunset, the color never really exploded. However, the view of the Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and the subtle hues in the sky were the always a great way to relax and mellow after sometimes long days of driving, hiking, and shooting.

At the very least, it was a good lesson in patience, and a reminder to enjoy the beauty that was there, rather than wishing for what wasn't.

That is gorgeous! the sun, clouds, and mountains in the distant are compelling, but what catches my eyes are the nice contrasts of the moving water over the sand and stones. I like the nice metallic shimmer about them too. :D

Thanks for that comment...my favorite part was the foreground too. I honestly had stopped looking at the sky and was just mesmerized by those pebbles!

hehe..believe that lesson was to capture what you see..not create whats not.. ;) eitherway..did a fantastic job at both! some very dramatic action going on above those mountains..a slight moment of intensity, washed away and soothed by the fabulous foreground. have i told you how much i love that foreground! just amazing sweetie!

Thanks for the kind words, and again...without you, I'd never have even uploaded this shot, honestly. Foreground was all I thought it had going for it! Thanks again, Addam. :tighthug:
