Wonderful rendition, the soft contrast at the bottom vs the harder contrast at the top is great. Perhaps a bit of crop on the left to take out the two "cloudlets" along the left edge? They are at the extreme of contrasts in the image and tend to pull my eye there.
so cool to see shots like this. I have the Mt Rainier nat'l geo trail map mounted on my wall just to keep reminding me that if I ever get the money I'm gonna head there first..of course I still call it 'Tacoma".
Thanks Dread! Hope you're able to visit sooner rather than later. That place is just unbelievable...never would have dreamed it would be so beautiful and captivating, but it's even better than you could imagine.
am so jealous of this shot! out of the thousands of times that ive driven past this spot, can count on one hand how many times mt rainier can actually be seen! and of course the one time i do see..and stop, i have no camera! this shot was made for you and you executed it so well! lovely conversion, it really made the entire scene look natural compared to the color. just love the composition as well..another thing im jealous of..mountain perfectly lined up with the train bridge. and one wicked cloud in the air, also some great lighting on the cloud cap! could go all day mentioning all the things i love about this one..beautifully captured, LA!
Didn't realize it was such a rare occasion to see it along the drive! Feel very lucky to have gotten to see that with you on New Year's Day. Also glad you like the processing! Something about the color just never looked right, I agree. Appreciate the kind words, and hope we get to see the mountain again very soon!
